Babysitter Food Allergy Training
This program is for individuals who preferably have completed a basic babysitter Safety course or who have some experience with babysitting.
This specialized training will include caring for individuals with food allergies, minimizing fear and maximizing preventative measures, all with an understanding of how to handle unintended allergic reactions including anaphylaxis. Students will learn what to do prior to arriving , as well as what to keep in mind while babysitting in a food allergy household. Using fun and interactive activities, Allergy Educator Megan Neri shares food allergy facts, the nuances of cross contact and potential risks, and how to use epinephrine auto-injectors.
