Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.  A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced game.Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.  Only equipment needed is a Paddle. Games are pick up games based on the number of players for each day.Morning Group-More Experienced & competitive!Recreational Group- Experienced but more for Recreation!Evening-Combination.Players are limited to 20 per session.  You will choose session 1 OR Session  2 when registering for either morning or afternoon group. Do NOT register for both Time Options in the same session.  Covid GuidelinesMasks are required if participants cannot maintain 6 ft. social distanceLimited to 20 Players per session.Doubles are allowed if you can maintain social distancing.Players on the sidelines must continue to practice social distancing .Spray will be provided in the box where the nets are stored and need to be sprayed after each session.

Kingston Residents Only.We understand this is a limited option for families.  However, we have designed this new program to offer our Recreation Families alternative and modified fun-filled activities and experiences. We created this program in a way that we hope to be in the best interest of your children and our staff.   If you do not think this program will work for your child, or your family is not comfortable with the parameters  – please check out another program option we have created: “Summer In A Box”.             K-Rec Konnect Program Description:Before registering please read the detailed guidelines on the Families Information sheet -  click the  link at the bottom of this description To ensure that this program is a good fit for your child(ren). K-Rec Konnect has been designed to offer summer programming for our Recreation Families in the best way we can and offer various fun-filled activities and experiences. Familiar staff to previous summer programs will help guide this new program format.  This program will have a morning time option or an afternoon time option. Your child(ren) will be placed in a group of 10 participants and paired with 2 counselors. They will remain with this group for the entirety of each session (1 week). Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.  A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced game.Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.  Only equipment needed is a Paddle. Games are pick up games based on the number of players for each day.Morning Group-More Experienced & competitive!Recreational Group- Experienced but more for Recreation!Evening-Combination.Players are limited to 20 per session.  You will choose session 1 OR Session  2 when registering for either morning or afternoon group. We created this program in a way that we hope to be in the best interest of your children and our staff.   If you do not think this program will work for your child, or your family is not comfortable with the parameters  – please check out another program option we have created: “Summer In A Box”.             K-Rec Konnect Program Description:Before registering please read the detailed guidelines on the Families Information sheet -  click the  link at the bottom of this description To ensure that this program is a good fit for your child(ren). K-Rec Konnect has been designed to offer summer programming for our Recreation Families in the best way we can and offer various fun-filled activities and experiences. Familiar staff to previous summer programs will help guide this new program format.  This program will have a morning time option or an afternoon time option. Your child(ren) will be placed in a group of 10 participants and paired with 2 counselors. They will remain with this group for the entirety of each session (1 week). Each group will also have their own “Play Bag” which will include equipment that only their group will use that week.   In the event of a rainy day, programs for that day will be cancelled.In the event of a Heat Advisory, programs for that day will be cancelled. Program fee based upon additional requirements such as staff to participant ratio; additional equipment/supplies needed to minimize risk, etc. Program Details: Location: Reed Community Complex. This property provides more outdoor opportunities Grades 1- 8 (this is the grade they were in during the 2019/2020 school year) 6 one week sessions - beginning July 6th No more than 50 participants per one week session in each Time Option Two Time Options per session. Time Option 1: 9am – 11:30am -  full for this week Time Option 2: 1:00 – 3:30pm You will choose per session either Time Option (full for this week) 1 OR Time Option 2 when registering your child(ren). The majority of the activities this group will be engaged with will be on a higher activity side.
