Sailing 7-9 year olds Power Pram with DBMS
The Kingston Recreation Department is collaborating with Duxbury Bay Maritime School to offer several different sailing programs this summer. Registration open until full or April 17th.
There are only 2 spots available for each week listed. All weeks are Tidal Schedule - which means the class times will vary daily. Click on the Date/Time for specific times for each week.
Power Pram Program: 2 week beginner for 7-9 year olds- Prerequisite: Competent Swimmer
Learn the basics of boating safety, nomenclature, rigging, sail handling and steering. Starts with 2-3 students per boat. Once a student becomes confident and capable of sailing single-handed they’ll be recommended to advance to Pram II.
Prams are small, learn to sail boats that prepare sailors for the more complicated Optimist. Class curriculum is subject to change without notice due to weather conditions. Sailing programs meet rain or shine. Please dress
The Kingston Yacht Club has donated 10% for each first time participant registration, toward this partnered Sailing Program with the Duxbury Bay Maritime School. The fee listed below already is indicative of the one time 10% reduction plus a 10% one time discount from the Duxbury Bay Maritime School.
The Kingston Yacht Club is also donating an additional 20% discount to all Kingston Yacht Club members. KYC member will pay the amount listed and then bring their receipt to the KYC for their additional 20% discount to be paid by the Kingston Yacht Club.
