"Home Alone Staying Safe" prepares kids (4th-6th grade or maturity appropriate) to handle most home alone situations, from an unexpected knock on the door to an emergency 911 call. It also covers food/kitchen safety, choking prevention and Heimlich Maneuver, basic first aid, handling emergencies, fears, and safety to and from school, and self - defense techniques. This dynamic and interactive class is serious business - made fun!
Class will focus on Street smarts and Awareness; and Home Alone Safety.
Due to the pandemic, we will not be doing any interactive, close contact activities but will be demonstrating all safety measures.
Please send your child with a pencil and mask, that must be worn during class.
At this time, all participants will be required to wear masks inside. And outside if you cannot socially distance per the new mandate indicated below.
Mask Mandate - effective September 20, 2021
At their September 13th meeting, the Board of Health voted to mandate wearing masks in all Kingston businesses, effective September 20th at 8:00 am.
In addition, when people are outside and are not able to stay at least six feet apart, masks must be worn.
The Board of Health will review the most recent COVID data at all their upcoming bi-monthly meetings.to determine the need to continue to wear mask. Thank you for your cooperation.
