KRec Extreme Leadership, Exploration and Development - LEAD
Has your 9th grader thought about working at the Recreation Department as a summer counselor, or are they interested in learning about leadership and development as it applies to expectations and professionalism in the workforce?
If you answered yes, then this program is for them!
KRec Extreme Leadership, Exploration and Development - also to be known as KRec LEAD, is a spin off of the ever popular KRec Extreme Program. However, this program is really designed specifically for those that have an interest in learning more about what is involved in being a summer counselor as well as general job expectations and professionalism- which would be great to learn for any job opportunity.
By participating in this program your 9th grader will really learn what is takes to be not only a great counselor but also be prepared to enter the workforce. Activities will include participating in community service activities (that can count towards their high school graduation required community service hours), leadership training activities, as well as the opportunity to go on fun field trips, all while still getting outside and being active and engaged.
Space is very limited for this program! Don't Wait - Register up today!
Please Note: Participating in this program does not guarantee a position with the summer program in the future.
By registering your child for this program you are also giving them permission to walk to local locations with their Leaders for various activities, such as the Opachinski Complex, Senior Center, etc.
Program Leaders: Danica Davis and Peter Burke
If a program is specified by grade, it is meant for the 2018-2019 school year - the grade should be the grade they just completed.
